me

This is me. Sneaking up on myself, hiding behind a cactus, trying to get a decent selfie to replace the professional headshot that I had taken 10 years ago.

I’d love to say that not much has physically changed in those 10 years, but quite honestly, that old headshot began to feel like a lie. And if nothing else, I promise to always be authentic in my sharing.

I’m a graphic designer with 30+ years of experience. In recent years I’ve often been asked when I plan to retire and my stock answer has always been “never”. I feel fortunate to have been able to make a career out of doing work that I love and to be able to honestly say that “retirement”, as most know it, hasn’t been on my agenda.

Two years ago we sold our house of 26 years, let go of probably 80% of our posessions and moved to a shoreline town that we knew little about to share a home with our grown son and soon to be daughter-in law.

Downsizing and moving has prompted me to rethink my “never going to retire” mentality. So, I’ve officially updated my status to “semi-retired” and given myself time to explore new territory and experiences with my husband. This site gives me a space to share, an hopefully inspire.
